Україна розірве контракт з компанією Serum Institute of India про постачання вакцин проти коронавірусу з Індії від виробників Novavax і Covishield. Про це розповів міністр охорони здоров’я Віктор Ляшко, повідомляє агентство “УНІАН”.

Міністр підкреслив, що рішення про розрив контракту є політичним. Йдеться про контракт на поставку 10 мільйонів доз вакцини від виробника Novavax і 1,5 мільйонів від виробника Covishield.

Ляшко підкреслив, що вакцина Novavax на даний момент не визнана Всесвітньою організацією охорони здоров’я і не зареєстрована в жодній країні світу. Таким чином, після щеплення цією вакциною не можна видавати міжнародний сертифікат про вакцинацію.

За словами міністра, в Україні дуже мало людей виявляють бажання вакцинуватися препаратом Novavax. У той же час він додав, що українці не будуть відчувати проблем з доступом до вакцин.
